Chain Driven Live Roller, commonly referred to as CDLR, is a powered conveyor designed for controlled movement of heavy or irregular loads. Power is transmitted through chains that mechanically link adjacent rollers, allowing consistent roller rotation under load. This roll-to-roll chain drive delivers positive traction, making CDLR well suited for palletized products, drums, and other rigid unit loads that demand predictable motion.
CDLR systems are often selected where accumulation, frequent starts and stops, or directional changes are required. The roller-to-roller chain arrangement uses welded sprockets on each roller with staggered chain loops along the conveyor length.
