12K HEAVY DUTY CHAIN
Heavy duty chain drag and transfer conveyors are designed to move extremely heavy products through assembly, staging, and transfer points where forklifts, operators, and automated processes intersect. These conveyors use hardened chain strands riding on steel wear surfaces to carry loads that exceed the capacity of conventional roller or belt systems. Integrated lift and transfer mechanisms control how products are placed onto and removed from the conveyor, reducing impact damage and improving load stability in demanding industrial environments.
Systems such as the 12K Powerlift and Powerhouse conveyors are based on the CD280 platform and configured with optional heavy duty components to manage loads exceeding 12,000 pounds. Hydraulic lift tables positioned at infeed and discharge points absorb forklift impact and regulate product flow onto the line. Structural steel frames, reinforced supports, and No. 80 chain assemblies guided by replaceable wear strips provide long service life under repeated high load cycles. Safety features such as chain monitoring sensors and traction tread crossover grating support both equipment protection and personnel access.
Heavy duty chain drag and transfer conveyors can also incorporate powered transfer units to move products between parallel lines or change flow direction within an assembly process. Powertransfer units mounted within multi strand chain drag conveyors lift loads incrementally and transfer them onto adjacent conveyors with controlled motion. These systems are commonly custom engineered to accommodate product size, weight, spacing, and plant layout requirements.

12K Powerhouse 2-Strand Conveyor
The Powerhouse conveyor is designed to move massive loads on an assembly line weighing in excess of 12,000 lbs. It is a model CD280 2-strand chain drag conveyor with optional equipment added to support and move these loads. To withstand the weight, the frame and supports are a heavy-duty structural steel construction. The No. 80 chain carries the loads guided by removable steel wear strips and has a sensor that will notify the controller in the event a chain brakes. Also, there is galvanized traction tread grating mounted between the 2 chains. These were added because the conveyor is mounted with platforms on either side where people are working and provides a safe way to crossover. 12K Powerhouse 3-Strand Conveyor
The Powerhouse is designed to move massive loads between assembly lines weighing in excess of 12,000 lbs. It is a model CD380 3-strand chain drag conveyor with optional equipment added to support and move these loads. This CD380 is located perpendicular to the power transfers and transports the product between parallel assembly lines. Because the product is a rectangular shape the orientation has changed from length x width to width x length. The conveyor needed to be wider to accommodate this orientation which required an additional chain strand in the middle for support. ref#509217
12K Powerlift Conveyor
The 12K Powerlift is a model CD280 with optional heavy duty equipment. The conveyor incorporates a heavy duty hydraulic lift table designed to be placed at both the infeed and discharge end of the assembly line. Its purpose is to take the abuse from forklifts and control the way heavy loads are put on and taken off of the line. ref#510807
12K Powertransfer Conveyor
The Powertransfer is a CT380 mounted within a 2-strand chain drag conveyor. The first power transfer is located at the end of the first assembly line. The hydraulic-lift raises 1” and transfers the product onto a CD380. The next CT380 transfers product off the 3-strand conveyor and lowers to move onto the next assembly area. ref#509220
