The Primo Sort is a pneumatic pusher style sortation device designed to divert products from a conveyor line using controlled lateral motion. A 2 inch diameter air cylinder drives a 1/8 inch aluminum channel pusher plate across the conveying surface, directing items into a designated takeaway path. Stroke lengths up to 36 inches allow the unit to accommodate varying product sizes and conveyor widths while maintaining consistent positioning.
The system supports cycle rates up to 75 cycles per minute, with performance dependent on product size and weight and a maximum recommended product weight of 100 pounds. Pneumatic controls include cushioning at the rest position to reduce impact forces, along with an integrated FRL with 3/8 inch ports requiring approximately 0.5 cubic feet per minute of air at 80 to 100 PSI per cycle. Electrical components are housed in a NEMA 1 enclosure with a terminal strip and wiring diagram, and standard controls include a 24 VDC single solenoid valve and two hall effect sensors, with optional 120 volt configurations available.
