Roach Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1953 by Gay Roach Sr.
Originally, the company's sole purpose was to design and build a line of heavy-duty highly-specialized conveyors for weighing, transporting and storing heavy, bulky bales of cotton. The company continued to heavily rely upon this manufacturing concern until 1971, when the company began to market itself as Roach Conveyors.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Roach Conveyors continued to grow and evolve, responding to changing customer needs and advances in technology. During this time, the company introduced new materials and manufacturing processes, and developed new products, such as hygienic conveyors for the food processing industry. Roach Conveyors also increased its investment in research and development, and worked to improve the efficiency and performance of its conveyor systems.
Since 1953 Roach Conveyors has emerged as one of the most innovative conveyor manufacturers in the world. Over the last 70 years we have developed a multitude of systems ranging from basic transportation to highly specialized equipment engineered to perform detailed tasks.

Roach Manufacturing Corporation was founded in 1953 by Gay Roach Sr.
Roach Manufacturing was founded by Gay Roach Sr. in Trumann, AR. The company’s sole purpose was to design & build a line of heavy-duty highly-specialized conveyors for weighing, transporting, and storing heavy, bulky bales of cotton.
Inside an old gas station, the EZE-Weigh cotton bale weighing system was developed by Mr. Roach. The EZE-Weigh is the first system patented by Roach Manufacturing.
Continuing to focus on the cotton industry, Roach Manufacturing became the world’s largest producer of cotton bale packaging systems. With the Packaging System for Cotton Bales, Roach Manufacturing is issued their 2nd patent.
Roach Manufacturing began expanding the conveyor division with a strong focus on package handling. This new endeavor led the company to relocate to the current plant location, which started at 27,000 Sq ft.
With the success of the growing conveyor division, Roach Manufacturing began marketing as Roach Conveyors.
The first RMC accumulation conveyor was developed and patented. The 251 Zone Pallet Accumulator was designed to accumulate large pallets in 5’-0” intervals to eliminate
products touching.
From 1974 to 1994, Roach Conveyors expanded production capabilities an additional 311,000 Sq ft. to meet the increasing market demand of standard and specialty conveyors.
Roach Conveyors became the 1st and largest Mazak laser automation production facility in North America.
Roach Conveyors launched their first smart conveyor. Allowing programmable zone-to-zone control through ethernet/IP communication making zone and product management easy to control.
Roach Conveyors developed their first flexible conveyor for those times when a fixed conveyor is not applicable, but
durable components are still necessary to withstand the rigors of loading docks.
Roach Conveyors expanded another 163,000 Sq ft to accommodate increasing production, and distribution demands.
Roach Conveyors developed and patented the steerable telescoping conveyor. The revolutionary truckloader increased productivity while decreasing maintenance and labor cost with less product damage.
To meet the increasing parcel and package handling demands, Roach developed their singulating conveyor. The Gator Singulator receives product randomly and discharges in a single file line.
Roach Conveyors patented Tubular Mezzanine and Conveyor Support Structures.
Since 1953 Roach Conveyors has emerged as one of the most innovative conveyor manufacturers in the world.
This year Roach Conveyors will add an additional 80,000 Sq. ft with the new distribution center. This expansion will increase the total manufacturing, warehousing, and distribution capabilities to 1 million Sq. ft.
